Scholastics
Chettinad Vidyashram, has programmed a diverse and specialized curriculum, which helps students imbibe essential skills like critical thinking, analysis and problem-solving. Following the guidelines prescribed by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) the curriculum is crafted right from Kindergarten to Higher Secondary School with scholastic modules of education.
The school believes in nurturing the innate talents of its pupils and helping them hone these skills during their tenure in their alma mater, so that every child who leaves the portals of the school chooses to pursue his/her passion from the wide spectrum of choices available. Hence we do not produce only doctors and engineers but musicians, artists, sportspersons and entrepreneurs to name a few. The students of Chettinad Vidyashram are also fortified with confidence and determination to brave challenges, overcome obstacles and garner soft skills for maintaining good interpersonal relationships.
Spirited participation in seminars, symposiums, discussions, discussions, publications, dramatics, public speaking and other activities that enhance concentration and classroom learning, enable students to acquire learning skills required for an overall intellectual, psychological and social growth.
Remedial Programme
A remedial programme is conducted in the evenings after school hours to assist children who are in need of extra attention. To help the mediocre achievers, the school conducts remedial classes for all subjects in its premises. These classes are highly beneficial as the students get individual attention and the focus is on topics which are otherwise tedious to comprehend in a general class room session.
Intermittent tests are conducted to assess the child’s progress. Over a period, students engaged in remedial classes fare very well and achieve their true potential.

Model United Nations
Designing discussions and deliberations on matters of global consequence, CV MUN provides a promising platform for delegates to ponder, process and preach supreme ideologies and consider matters of international crises.
Legal Symposium
Fuelling the fiery flame in the legal aficionados, this event aims to foster a deeper understanding of the law, promote legal scholarship and encourage critical thinking and analysis among participants.
Ampersand
The two-day Debating Fest that showcases the oratorical and debating expertise of students, encourages them to articulate their thoughts with clarity and present coherent arguments and constructive disagreements.
Moot Court
This initiative of the Legal Studies Department facilitates law students to develop and refine their oral advocacy skills, including public speaking, persuasion, and effective communication. An additional advantage is that this enterprise gears the participants for future legal practice by simulating the challenges and expectations of a courtroom setting.
Mock Parliament
With an intent to generate interest in politics and to kindle the spirit of leadership in the youth, this event offers students an opportunity to act out the transactions in the Indian Parliament.
Pragya
The Annual Psychology Fest energises various talents amongst the students of the Psychology Department. Countless competitions, seminars and video presentations earmark this event that witnesses zestful participation from students across the city.
Farewell
Each event in the school is a star-studded affair and likewise, the Farewell is an ostentatious occasion, wherein students of classes X and XII are wished good luck for their future endeavours.
